- Minimum 2-3 roofing installation experience
- Must have experience in one of the following specialized areas: tiled roofs; shingled roofs; skylights; conventional and inverted builtup system; rigid preformed roofing system; single ply sheet membrane roofing system; modified roofing system
- Must have a proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications; erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment; perform repetitive tasks; handle heavy loads; perform physically demanding activities including bending, crouching, kneeling
- Other required skills may include but are not limited to: Install, repair or replace builtup roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel; Install, repair or replace single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions; Install, repair or replace shingles, shakes and other roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings; Install sheet metal flashings; Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools; Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level.
